What records can I access? In Walworth County, the index of real estate documents recorded since January of 1973 searchable by grantor/grantee plus most associated document images are available. In addition, a tract index searchable by legal description is available beginning in January of 2005.

What are the fees? Cost of this service is $650 per month per account. User fees pay for system maintenance and software support.

How do I set up my search? As with any system, you will need to determine the best strategy for finding your information. For more suggestions on how to search using LandShark, click here. .

 

Do I need to sign an agreement? Yes. To get a copy of the Online Access agreement that you will need to print and fill out, click Agreement.

 

How do I access Daily LandShark? After we receive your completed agreement, we will assign user names and passwords that can be used to access Daily LandShark.

REMINDER:  If searching by document number, enter a capital letter P in front of the document number for documents recorded prior to February of 1976.  (ex:  P659067).  Be sure to use capital letters and correct spacing when searching by parcel identification numbers.

OUR CREDIT CARD INTEGRATION WITH AUTHORIZE.NET HAS BEEN ENHANCED.  YOU MAY NOTICE SOME SLIGHT CHANGES TO THE CREDIT AUTHORIZATION SCREENS IN LANDSHARK.

Although LandShark works with other systems, Internet Explorer will let you view pages in Documents that have an ID PROTECT on them, where other systems may only show a blank page.

LandShark is available free of charge to search the real estate document index maintained in the Walworth County Register of Deeds office. Click on the "About" tab to learn how to set up an escrow or monthly subscription account to access images.  You can also pay by credit card for image access.
